We strive to bring about a progressive society where being good without a god is an accepted and respected way to live life. We are accomplishing this through our defense of civil liberties and secular governance, by our outreach to the growing number of people without traditional religious faith, and through a continued refinement and advancement of the humanist worldview.
Humanist Chaplaincies
Humanist chaplaincies provide consultation, preside over ceremonies, and offer opportunities for educational outreaches and community services projects to nonreligious students and members of the armed forces. Most of the humanist chaplaincies listed on this site are acedemic or military based. The Humanist Chaplaincy of San Diego is the first community-based program to offer our unique portfolio of services.
Spiritual Care Association
The Spiritual Care Association (SCA) is the first multidisciplinary, international professional membership association for spiritual care providers that establishes evidence-based quality indicators, scope of practice, and a knowledge base for spiritual care in health care.
